Terms of Service & Technical Disclaimers

Last updated: September 2026

Welcome to evospline.com. By using this website, documentation, and the EvoSpline NC Generator software (distributed via the Microsoft Store), you acknowledge and agree to the following technical and operational terms.

1. General Nature of the Software

EvoSpline NC Generator is a specialized engineering calculation and G-code generation assistant. All algorithms, trajectory calculations, and post-processors are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.

2. Machine & Control Compatibility

EvoSpline NC Generator generates standard ISO/DIN code optimized for:

  • Mazak Lathes (EIA/ISO): Mazatrol Matrix, Smart, and Smooth controls.
  • Siemens Sinumerik: Sinumerik 828D, 840D sl, and Sinumerik ONE (DIN 66025 standard using G33 SF and SUPA positioning).

Important Technical Notice:

  • Machine Tool Builder (MTB) Configurations: Lathes vary widely in options, M-code allocations, spindle acceleration profiles, and axis limits set by the machine builder.
  • CNC Parameters: Code execution may depend on specific CNC parameters (such as Mazak threading start angle format in parameter F167 bit 0, or Sinumerik spindle synchronization settings).
  • No Absolute Guarantee: While EvoSpline algorithms are thoroughly verified, universal compatibility with 100% of machine setups cannot be guaranteed.

3. Calculation Accuracy & Process Disclaimers

  • Automated Calculations: Formulas for axial/normal modules, Diametral/Circular Pitch, root diameters, clearance values, and feed synchronization limits are designed to minimize human calculation errors.
  • Verification Mandate: The user/programmer is strictly responsible for reviewing and confirming all parameters (including tool nose radius, insert tilt angles, safe retract distances, and part clearance) prior to running the program.
  • Slotting Dynamics: Broaching/slotting operations on CNC lathes generate significant mechanical loads. The user is solely responsible for determining whether the machine rigidity and workpiece clamping are adequate for the chosen cutting speeds and feed modes (G0 vs. G1).

4. Operator Responsibility & Machining Safety

Under no circumstances shall the author or EvoSpline be liable for:

  • Physical damage to machine tools, turrets, spindles, chucks, or tailstocks.
  • Collisions resulting from incorrect tool offsets, incorrect workpiece coordinate zero shifts (WCS), or inappropriate machine retract coordinates.
  • Scrapped parts, worn tooling, tool insert breakage, or personal injury.

Standard Operating Procedure Required:
Prior to cutting the first workpiece with newly generated NC code, the operator must perform:

  1. A visual inspection of the G-code blocks.
  2. A dry run in the air with feed rate override reduced.
  3. The first pass in Single Block mode with active axis distance-to-go monitoring.

5. Licensing, Trials, and Microsoft Store Purchases

  • EvoSpline NC Generator modules (Worms Metric, Worms Imperial, Slotting Module) are licensed via individual monthly auto-renewing subscriptions with free 7-day trials.
  • All financial transactions, billing, subscription renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled exclusively by Microsoft Corporation through the Microsoft Store in accordance with the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms (SALT).
